The Seven Parts of Man

The number seven used by the Jews significantly, and basically determined the completeness or wholeness of a thing. THE WHOLE OF MAN (defined as having all its proper parts and components. Without any given part, man is not whole and has a need to be healed.) 1.Body + 2.Soul + 3.Spirit 4.Mind + 5. Heart + 6.Conscience =7. LIFE ; physical & spiritual. (1&4 – seat of reactionary desire) (2&5 -seat of #1 desire) (3&6 -seat of trained desire)

God made man in His likeness, and from the dust of the earth….body the receptacle ….. and breathed the breath of life into him …. the Spirit …. and he became a living soul …. the receptacle of the Spirit. When man dies his body is void and returns to dust; the Spirit returns to God that gave it; but the separation of the Spirit and the evil soul which is sent to outer darkness is the death of the soul (twice dead — Jude 1:12) and it, too, then is void, being separated from God. The body is carnal, the soul is eternal and the Spirit is part of God. Only God can reach far enough to separate soul from Spirit (by the WORD).
