Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and
having put on the breastplate of righteousness, Eph 6:15 and having shod
your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Eph 6:16 withal taking up the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able
to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit,
which is the word of God:
girded your loins with truth
girding the loins is the area of vulnerability – it is the part an animal
exposes to his enemy when he surrenders.
You shall find the truth, and it shall set you free
breastplate of righteousness
covers the heart which is the commitment (#1 desire) – when we are baptized
into the body of Christ, we put on His righteousness
shod your feet with preparation
the vehicle by which the walk is made - three fold: obedience; study;
following Christ
helmet of salvation
your mindset – the Spiritual mindset for commitment
sword of the Spirit - the word of God
Shield of Faith - your belief and trust in the promises of God
