The Whole of Man
02 Nov 2009

THE WHOLE OF MAN (defined as having all its proper parts and components.
Without any given part, man is not whole and has a need to be healed.) 1.Body + 2.Soul + 3.Spirit 4.Mind + 5. Heart + 6.Conscience =7. LIFE ; physical & spiritual. (1&4 – seat of reactionary desire) (2&5 -seat of #1 desire) (3&6 -seat of trained desire)
The whole (duty-not in the original scripture, but added by man) of man as defined by Solomon in Eccl. 12: 13 -constituting the total sum of, or the undiminished entirety of… and indicating the healthy parts and/or the healed parts.)
If “duty” was to be assigned to it, it should be attached to “the matter (duty) of the thing”. To intelligently understand (one cannot reason without at least a degree of intelligence, which often is implication of attention; obedience; etc, and all this calls for reasoning). Remember that Solomon said, “come let us reason together….”, and not “come let us have faith together”. Faith comes by hearing, and that hearing must involve the intellect, discernment, and reasoning. All things must be searched and proven, even as did the Bereans.
Concerning the Old Testament, the entirety of the (commandment/duty/conclusion of the matter) which is the end of the matter (which is the commandments) …..fear God (which is the “reverence of the entity of God) and keep His commandments-collectively the Law which was commanded and included its ordinances and precepts – (keep- as to “hedge about or fence in”/ protect/ guard/ observe/ take heed). This (and what is THIS but the fear and the keeping of the commandments?). And this is what makes the wholeness – the healing – the entirety of man(every individual). God does not want duty/sacrifice….He wants our love/mercy/obedience.
We then say we cannot earn our salvation by works (and this is true!), but then we say we must perform our duty!!! We must give our sacrifices!!! But if we understand intelligently, because He first loved us, He gave in Love, and if we love Him, we give in love, and there is no duty or sacrifice to it!!!! We do because we love Him. And God is our Healer!!! Ex. 15:26 “And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.”
The physical LIFE is the animal + TRUE LIFE which Jesus came to give. The life is in the blood. The life of the physical body is in the blood that surges through our veins, cleansing our bodies. The life of the spiritual body is in the blood of Christ which covers us, cleansing our spiritual bodies.
Death = the physical manifestation of the separation of the soul from the body. John 19:30: “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.” Acts 7:59: “And they stoned Stephen. Calling upon God, Stephen cried out ‘Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.’ ” Ecc. 12:6,7: “Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern. Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”
Spiritually, death would be the manifestation of the separation of the Spirit from the soul because Sin = separation of the Spirit from the soul, separating us from the blood of Christ.  Spiritual death = the separation of our soul from God’s Spirit.. James 2:26: “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.“ Body without soul is dead. Soul without Spirit is twice dead. Faith without works is dead. Works without faith is twice dead. God alone can separate faith/works, soul/spirit, bone/marrow, since He will judge the works, and Christ’s blood will cover the sins of those who have been obedient to Him. Faith is made full grown by works. The soul becomes full grown by the Spirit.
