Which Way Do We Go?

As we are growing up, there are many people and many ways by which we learn, building our moral excellence, or teaching us sophistication of the world and moral decadence.   Our basic learning comes from the family unit – parents and grandparents.   If they are grounded in biblical truths, then we will be taught those biblical truths; and if those teachings are strong enough to hold our attention away from our peers and the social/cultural sights and sounds, then we will walk a straight and narrow path, following it onward to a more abundant and happy life.   Whether we live by biblical truths or a moral code of our own, it is still a better, happier and more productive life.

Fruit of the Spirit:
Gal 5:22-26 — But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, self-control; against such there is no law. And they that are of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with the passions and the lusts thereof. If we live by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us also walk. Let us not become vainglorious, provoking one another, envying one another.
 

Truly, if we love each other, just as if that other one was ourselves, then we live in peace and harmony, living and serving for the good of all whether they be family, friend or enemy, even as it is for the good of nature itself!

Works of the flesh:
Gal 5:19-21 — Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousies, wraths, factions, divisions, parties, envyings, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; of which I forewarn you, even as I did forewarn you, that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
If we live following the passions of the flesh, then we will surely reap the consequences that are brought about by such ways that we indulge in. We live in a society with cultures of various philosophies, and we can see the consequences: warings, strife of all kinds, illnesses, depression, murders which decry the value of life!
