Walking Worthily
16 Apr 2010 Picking a single word to convey a message sometimes takes away from the complete meaning of a phrase. By looking at all of the word conveyances in Strong’s dictionary, I get a little better picture of what I am to be looking at. Sometimes something is lost in the translation, so to speak. Act 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved (exhibit-demonstrated-prove-set forth) of (more at from or away from) God among (into or among you as indicating the point reached or entered of purpose; result) you by miracles (miraculous power) and wonders (prodigy*Any thing out of the ordinary process of nature, as so extraordinary as to excite wonder or astonishment *or omen*A sign or indication of some future event*) and signs, (an indication, especially ceremonially or supernaturally.) – did by him (as being done through Him as was determined) – even as you have seen. in the midst of you, as1 ye yourselves also know: Referenced: 1Th 2:12 That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called (bid as invitation of command; order) you unto (point reached or entered – purpose) his kingdom and glory.
