Thomas Singleton Wacaster, Sr.
Our second son, born 18 June 1947.

         Preacher, Missionary, Author

Born premature about 6 1/2 to 7 months, on a Wednesday at 3:35am weighing 4# 5oz and 16 1/2 in. at St. Joseph's Hospital, Ft. Worth, Tarrant co., Texas. Residence at time of birth: 3012 Ave. G.
Tom was brought home from the hospital at 5 weeks old when he had gained to 5 pounds. He was home two days, and on the third day was rushed back to the hospital with pneumonia.
When Tom was 3 or 4 years old he could tell you the make of any car on the road, day or night. When he was about 5 years old, he brought a very accurate drawing of a car that looked much like a model A ford (even with the exhaust pipe emitting smoke) to his Dad, and very seriously said, "Daddy, here is your Cadillac."
Stationed in Hawaii while serving in the Coast Guard, Tom met Johnnie Ann Alston. They were "engaged" but did not marry until all were back in Texas, and Tom was stationed at Corpus Christi. After being mustered out of the Coast Guard, Tom began preaching. He was at Tupelo and Ada Oklahoma, Pipeline in Ft. Worth, Decatur, Humble Texas, and then served a year as missionary in Africa.
2006 - Preached at Mt. Pleasant and Talco, doing mission work in Russia, India and surrounding areas, and Mexico while writing his commentaries on New Testament books and Psalms.
